The National
Council of Educational Research and
Training (NCERT) , New Delhi organized
a Capacity Building Programme for
the Faculty of Colleges of
Teacher Education on Emerging Concerns of Gender, School and Society in August
–September 2016.
The objective of
the programme included:
*To update the
understanding of the faculty
about some key concepts associated with gender;
*Equip the faculty
to carry out an exercise of analyzing teaching-learning materials from
a gender perspective;
*Facilitate the
faculty to analyze the existing value systems
of society from a gender
perspective to promote gender equality;
* To empower
the faculty to bring different aspects
into action.
The faculty who received training
were expected to disseminate the knowledge gained through
several modes including seminars
and workshops.
This Blog
entitled Gender Quest 2017 is being
launched on New Year Day- 2017.
